The visible church embraces people of every kind. True believers and mere professors; spiritual Christians and dead formalists; the hypocrites, the deceiver of others and of himself, all may be found within the general body of those that call themselves Christians.
Even members of one congregation may sit side by side, they may unite in the same prayer, they may hear the same preaching. Yet God sees the heart of all and it is by the heart of man that He judges. Much that is respectable in the eyes of man is rejected by God.
Let no one be deceived. Let none stifle his conscience, let none decide that everything will simply work out okay in the end. The Word of God is clear -"And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment," (Hebrews 9:27, NKJV)
